Real Madrid CF (known to many people simply as Real) is one of the biggest soccer clubs in Spain, and indeed in the world. It plays in the Spanish premier league, also referred to as La Liga.
Real is one of the most successful football clubs of all time: an assertion supported by the football world government federation (FIFA), which voted Real the most successful club of the past century, the 20th century. It is definitely one team that has carried its good fortunes into the 21st century, where it has continued to do just as well, if not better. This it has continued to do in the highly competitive Spanish League, which it has won an amazing 31 times.
It is not a young club. Indeed, Real’s history goes back to the earliest days of soccer: this being a club that was founded way back in 1902. And as football has grown to be the world’s most loved sport, so has Real grown to be one of the best teams at it.
Real’s ‘home-ground’ is Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, which can host a maximum of 80,000 spectators for a match. Notably, this is a capacity that often ends up over-subscribed, especially when Real is playing important home matches.
